More than £85,000 has already been raised for local projects, with a further £118,000 available for the Council to pledge to eligible campaigns. Projects must reach their crowdfunding target before Council funding can be added, which means support from local people and businesses can make a real difference in getting them over the line.
For businesses, getting involved could be as simple as making a financial pledge, sharing a campaign through your networks, or encouraging employees and customers to support a cause. It can also be a practical way to demonstrate corporate social responsibility and visible commitment to the local community.
A small pledge, a share or a recommendation could help turn a local idea into something that benefits the whole community.
