Tamworth has received national recognition after the borough's We Are Tamworth programme won the prestigious MJ Award for Community Engagement. The award celebrates the programme's success in bringing people together, giving residents a genuine voice and supporting community-led projects that are making a real difference across the town.  What began as a series of "Honest Conversations" with local residents has grown into a movement that has helped secure almost £85,000 for community projects, delivered events such as the Kaleidoscope of Dreams festival and encouraged people to play an active role in shaping Tamworth's future. The award is a testament to the power of collaboration and highlights what can be achieved when residents, businesses, community groups and local organisations work together towards a shared goal.
